DIGITAL STORY TELLING : PSA!

  Hello everyone🙋!
  I hope you’re well. I’m here to talk about a new technological topic that we’ve learned previous weeks : Digital Story Telling! Let’s talk about it.
  As you can understand from its definition, we create a story on a digital platform by recording our voice. It can be any topic, your choice. I think it boosts creativity a lot because we design our story however we want and that’s the most important thing in terms of creativity.
  You can talk about a problem (local or global)to raise awareness or you can create a story based on your life and real events. Record  your voice and combine it with pictures or videos, here is your digital story😀💫! Also, there’s another way to make it by drawing some pictures, vocalizing the characters that you create and and acting out the story just with your voice! It can be so beneficial especially in pre-school education.
  I and my dear friend Elif created a public service announcement (PSA) based on water pollution. Our main focus is Istanbul. We make it on iMovie on Elif’s phone. We had a lot of fun and gained important information about the issue. I realized that it would be a great example of learning something in an entertaining way. I’m sure my students in the future will love it.

GREAT WAY FOR LEARNING : PODCASTING!

Hello everyone🙋!   I hope you’re all well. Today, we’re going to talk about an interesting way that we can use in language classes: Podcasting🎤!   Podcast is digital audio file or series of files available on the Internet   which you can download and listen whenever and wherever you want. You can find lots of podcasts about different topics.   When I heard it in our Educational Technology class I felt anxious about creating one because I’d never heard of it before but it’s a great tool for both students and teachers. Students can create their own podcasts and listen to their own voices. They can listen to other people and improve both listening and speaking skills. Teachers can use it to integrate different topics with the class. Hello everyone🙋!    I hope you’re all good. Today,we’re going to talk about 21 st  century and learning.    As time goes on, everything changes in the world. We must be aware of the 21 st  century and it’s requirements in terms of education and technology.    We have four key words to help us:     To improve these skills and build up a new generation which is proper for this century ‘s requirements, our teaching strategies must be related to these skills.   In the 20 st  century, the methods were limited. The teachers were the centre of the class. So,the students weren’t active.
